The route starts from the road to Cota 1400, branching off to the first hairpin bend. We then cross the Sfânta Ana brook and then the Peleș. In a short time we meet the path that comes from Peles Castle, also called Poteca Regală (the Royal Path). At the end of some serpentines we enter Poiana stânii 1265 m Poiana stânii an approximate horizontal surface developed on a dwarf limestone surface also presents a series of specific shapes so on the limestone walls lapiezuri develop on the surface before appearing small doline pressures and the rocks that dominates Prahova take the appearance of columns about 5 minutes are the rocks Franz Iosef where a platform was arranged offering spectacular views on Prahova valley.
The marked path to Piatra Arsă climbs directly past the fence that surrounds the glade. It should be noted that this sector crosses a scientific area of the Bucegi nature reserve, which requires the strict preservation of the marked path and the protection of plants. Upstream, the marked path gets past a very steep slope over 15 degrees in a dizzying zigzag through a spruce grove to reach Poiana Pietrei Arse. On the right, the conglomerate cliffs of Piatra Arsă rise and on the left, a slope is quickly lost in the pine forest of the Peles valley. We distinguish the dry springs of the Piatra Arsă and Babei Valleys. It is an arid area although the rains are abundant, but the water disappears either by rapid drainage on the slopes or by infiltration. Some narrow single-tracking paths appear to emphasize even better the slender line of the cliffs. On them grow brightly colored flowers in which the carnation holds supremacy.
The rather difficult path leads us on the slope of Piatra Arsă valley through a dense forest and then comes out on the slope from Valea Peleșului. In a zig-zag, you pass on the Piatra Arsă Mică spur in the Peles basin through larch clusters, then you go out in the spruce clusters on the northern slope of the Piatra Arsă valley and you reach the base of another steep Varsanufie Rock 1650m.
In the alpine area, the path crosses the face of the Peles valley, the Piatra Arsă valley and again the Peles valley, thus reaching under the steep Colții lui Nică (Nică's Fangs). At Obârșia, Peles valley, the path comes out in Curmătura Pietrei Arse, also dominant, from the peak with the same name 2001 m, from where it then descends slowly, leaving Jepii Mari Peak 2071 m on the right and Călugărul Peak on the left. On the way to the Piatra Arsă chalet 1950 m we pass the Obârșia of the Babei valley and descending through junipers where we meet the path marked with a yellow band, this path connects with Vârful cu Dor and with Caraiman and Babele from Sinaia. After about 3 and a half hours you reach the terminus point, Cabana Piatra Arsă. The return on the same route is made in two and a half hours.
