The Monastery of "Saint Mary Magdalene" is an Orthodox monastic settlement located in Constanța County, approximately 900 meters from the exit of the town of Cobadin. The religious complex is located directly on the DN3 national road (Constanța–Ostrov) and represents a picturesque oasis of peace for pilgrims and travelers.
Establishment: The monastery was established in 2006, initially founded through the efforts of priest Voicu S. Neculai.
Development: Over the years, the complex has transformed from a small prayer point into a rapidly developing monastic center for nuns.
Consecration: The monastery church, painted in bright colors, was officially consecrated in the summer of 2020 by a council of priests.
Feast: The patron saint of the place is the Holy Myrrh-Bearer Mary Magdalene, celebrated annually on July 22.
Local event: Every year of the patron saint, the Holy Liturgy is celebrated by the Archbishop of Tomis, gathering numerous believers from the entire region of Dobrogea. [1, 2, 3]
