The building, built in classical style, belongs to the category of urban constructions from the second half of the 19th century. It belonged to Captain Leon Cracalia, who ordered the construction, he being a participant in the War of Independence (1877-1878) within the 10th Dorobanti Putna Regiment, under the leadership of Major George Șonțu.
Structurally, "the building is one of the houses on one level, with rooms arranged on either side of a hall. The main body highlights the entrance which features as a dominant element a classical pediment decorated with a coat of arms and semi-engaged Ionic columns. The interior is notable for its wooden doors with carved pediments with the "shell" motif." (National Cultural Heritage built in Vrancea County – Vrancea Museum)
