The Tarniţa Monastery is a monastic establishment founded in the first half of the 17th century by the hieromonk Partenie. The first church of the hermitage, built of wood, deteriorated over time and was replaced in 1919-1920 by a new church, "The Dormition of the Mother of God", which burned completely in the spring of 2006. In 2001, the chapel was built with patron saint "Holy Emperors Constantine and Elena".

Currently, the construction works of a new wall church, in place of the one destroyed by fire, are being completed. The road to the monastery is very difficult, but once he arrives at the settlement, the pilgrim forgets the difficulties of the journey and is happy that God allowed him to stop in such a wonderful place.
