The Cerbu Monastery is located between the towns of Ciucurova and Topolog, in a particularly beautiful natural landscape. The monastery is dedicated to the "Exaltation of the Holy Cross". As for the location, the monastery is found on a plateau surrounded by forests and hills with vegetation specific to Dobrogea. On a niche of the western facade is an exterior painting depicting the Mother of God praying to heaven. The religious scenes painted on the facade of the church are particularly impressive.
In perfect harmony with the structure of the church, the cell building was built of stone and wood, respecting the simple lines of the construction. The road to Golgotha is represented in miniature on the hill in front. The 9 stops of Jesus, carrying the cross on his back, are symbolized by 9 tridents where the faithful light candles. Climbing the winding road between the 9 buildings, you reach the chapel located at the top of the hill. From here, a panorama of the monastery and its surroundings opens up.
