The monastic settlement belongs to the Protoieria Babadag, Tulcea county, and was established on May 10, 2005 on the territory of Baia commune, located 10 km southeast of Baia commune. The founder of the settlement is the monk Victorin Tudor, at whose insistence the monastery received 5 hectares of land for free use.

The first inhabitants were the hieromonk Victorin Tudor, Iachint Tudor (his blood brother) and Fieraru Dumitru (brother), who lived for a year in barracks during the construction of the provisional chapel (made of wood, covered with tiles, rectangular in shape). After that, the construction of the cell body, made of BCA with a lindab roof, continued, but it was not completed due to the start of the construction of the monastery church, dedicated to the Entry into Jerusalem of the Savior.

The consecration of the place and the laying of the foundation stone were carried out on April 1, 2007 by IPS Dr. Teodosie, the archbishop of Tomis. The monastery operates in a communal life regime. It currently has three living.
