The Teodoreni Monastery, located in Suceava municipality, is a foundation of the Movilă family, one of the most important noble families in Moldova. It was built in 1597 by the postman Teodor Movilă, the brother of ruler Ieremia Movilă.

Teodoreni village appeared around the monastery, which later became Burdujeni. The village was founded by Ruthenian peasants, who were employed on the monastery estates to work the land.

In the 18th century, the Transylvanian revolution led to a worsening of economic life in the region. As a result, the residents of Burdujeni decided to establish a market, where they could sell their products.

The Burdujeni fair was founded in 1784. The area of land around the monastery was divided in order to build the buildings necessary for the fair.

In exchange for each plot, merchants and traders were obliged to pay the monastery a bezman, a sum of money or an offering in kind.

This measure contributed to the economic development of the area, and the Burdujeni fair became one of the most important fairs in the north of Moldova.

The Teodoreni Monastery is a foundation of the Movilă family, which gave Moldova several rulers, including Ieremia Movilă, Vasile Lupu and Antioh Cantemir.
The monastery was built in the style of Moldavian architecture, with specific elements such as high spiers and an open porch.
Inside the monastery is a painted portrait of Miron Costin, an important Romanian chronicler and scholar.

The Movilă family was one of the most important noble families in Moldova, which played an important role in the country's history. Teodor Movilă, the postman of Moldova, was one of the members of this family. He was a man of culture and a supporter of the arts. The Teodoreni Monastery is proof of its contribution to the cultural development of Moldova.

The Transylvanian Revolution was an important event in Romania's history. It led to a worsening of the economic life in the region, as it broke the trade links between Transylvania and Moldova. The residents of Burdujeni had to adapt to this situation and decided to establish a market, where they could sell their products.

The Burdujeni Fair has become one of the most important fairs in northern Moldova. He contributed to the economic development of the area, attracting new residents and increasing trade.

The Teodoreni monastery and the Burdujeni fair are two important elements of Moldova's history and culture. They represent the contribution of the Movilă family to the cultural development of the country and the impact of the Transylvanian revolution on the economic life of the region.
