Although the entire valley is only 9 km long, almost half of this distance is traveled between vertical walls, turning its lower sector into a canyon.

The Sighishtel basin hosts over 200 caves on only 10 km², being the area with the highest endokarstification potential in the country. Among the most famous caves in the Sighishtel Valley, we mention: Corbasca Cave (300 m) with the Crystal Lake, beautiful gurus, stalactites, columns and large deposits of montmilch; The Coliboaia cave (310 m) and the cave from Dealul Secăturii (1,450 m) which are part of the same karst system, with rich and varied concretions; Măgura Cave (1,885 m) with labyrinthine galleries, impressively sized rooms and narrow galleries.

To visit the Sighishtel Valley, the starting point can be the national road 75 Lunca – Câmpeni, which branches off in the town of Câmpani and continues towards the village of Sighishtel on a paved road. Another possible route crosses Culmea Măgura, coming from Peștera Urșilor and descends on the path marked with a red dot.
