At kilometer 46.1, there is the church painted by Nicolae Grigorescu.
While preparing to leave for Paris after the completion of the work at Agapia, Grigorescu found time to fulfill an order for the wealthy Niculescu Dorobanțu family, who had just founded a beautiful church in Pucheni. Here, the artist created his first secular paintings in votive paintings, representing Niculescu Dorobanțu his father and his wife Maria, as well as Niculescu Dorobanțu his son and his wife Ana. The latter, a woman of remarkable beauty, delicacy and femininity, caught the attention of the painter Theodor Aman a few years later. An intense passion was born, and Ana Niculescu-Dorobanțu became Ana Aman. The painter made his portrait, which can be found in several versions in the "Theodor Aman" Museum in Bucharest.
In the church in Puchenii Mari, the great Romanian painter created an impressive ensemble of almost 100 oil paintings, and the ones on the vault are kept in better condition.
